According to Forbes, the 2008 FIFA Player of the Year earned a total of USD 36 million in 2009 and in 2010 he topped his previous earning with USD 38 million. Apart from his salary from Real Madrid, he has various endorsements from brands such as Nike, Castrol, Clear Shampoo and Banco Espirito.
